The faces of Jack

Okay, so when I'm trying to get a picture of Jack, he never cooperates. When I'm trying to get a picture of a chair, Jack immediately gets into the shot.
Jack is always taking Daddy's glasses, but this is the first time he tried them on...

Everyday, our little man is getting bigger, but sometimes he'll get an expression that reminds me of the little baby that once lived with us...

We use to call him the angry sleeper, because in his swing he'd always fall asleep with an angry expression on his face and sometimes he still does. He'll always be my baby.

Jack and Big Elmo

There are a few things Jack loves more than Big Elmo...cookies, ice cream and hopefully his parents.
He likes Big Elmo to ride around in the car with him and occassionally bestows Big Elmo with hugs.
He helps him look out the window.

He reads him books.

And hugs him some more. Jack is such a sweet little man!

Lions and Tigers and Dinosaurs?

We recently took a trip to the Detriot Zoo where we saw all kinds of animals, including animotronic Dinosaurs!

The Zoo Train gave Jack and Daddy a chance to bond.

You can't tell by this picture, but the Dinosaurs were Jacks favorite part. He has been talking about them for days.

Busy, busy, busy boy!

I picked up this little horse and thought I'd sell him on Etsy.
Jack is quite taken with him though, even though he's on the small side.

He's also quite taken with his new bike, which Grandma and Grandpa Wheaton dropped off. It's a belated birthday gift. They were in Florida and wanted to be able to give it to him in person... and now the weather is just right for riding a bike.
HEY, what are these things?
Another fun thing to do is to jump off rocks with Daddy at Ella Sharp Park.

Look closely, he's levitating!

And always a little helper, Jack had to help me put my tulips in the vase.

It's never too early to teach them about chair interventions.

Jack's been busy

A few weeks ago, Jack began crawling out of his crib in earnest and so the time came to switch him to his "big boy" bed. I heard that this can be a real pain, but like in so many ways, Jack was easy. He just needed his favorite animals.
And he was all ready to settle in...now on to potty training, soon.

Then he went to Midland with to see the butterfly exhibit and it turned out the Midland Center for the Arts was having an exhibit of reptiles so we went over there too.

I took Emily and Zach Bach along and we had all kinds of fun. Jack is very lucky to have these kids in his lfe. He adores them and they adore him. (:
It was a great time and it was fun to see that kids of all ages can enjoy the same things. The butterflies weren't a big hit, but they all loved the reptiles.

Please can I have a pony? (this is at the museum shop)

All dressed for Easter Sunday. I was really excited that it worked out for Jack to wear this jacket because Wilson wore it to my wedding.

Looking for Easter Eggs with Daddy!

Adventures in Jackland

Jack is always very concerned that Elmo gets something to eat... here he's fed his big Elmo a piece of soda bread.
Going the Meme and Grandpa Carl's. He loves visiting them, but most of all he loves Uncle Nate.

Here's an old picture of Jack in his Elmo sweater from Grandma and Grandpa Wheaton.
