Awful grammar

Please forgive the awful grammar and writing that follows in the post below. I'm to tired to fix it and to vain to let you think I don't know it's riddled with errors. (;

The joys of home!

One of the things I love about our home is the little area where I can put on seasonal displays. For July 4th, I put up a small display of my vintage patriotic post cards. It something I use to do at Eberly, but didn't really feel I had a place for at the condo. I was really excited to put up my summer display, but it took some doing.
Ages ago I bought this sweet magazine cover and I've been on the search for a frame to put it in, but since it is a seasonal display... I wanted the frame to be cheap!
Imagine my surprise when I found a frame at Goodwill for $3 with a perfect blue mat to match the suits in the picture. Too perfect! I'm liking it so much I may have to graduate this picture to a permenant display in our downstair's bathroom, which has a beach theme.
Here's the whole display area, with a collection of shells and another Beach picture that Charlene gave me a while back, it's of some ladies frolicing on the beach, I'm really pleased with how the "summer display" turned out. For fall there is a girl being blown about in the wind, and a Tom the Turkey too. I love our new house and this little shelf that is thankfully to high for Jack to reach.

Let's Party!

No one enjoys having people over more than Jack, especially if the group includes Emily Bach. She's the best playmate, coming up with all kinds of fun things for him to do, including putting his slide and his tug boat in his pool!

My little artist

He even seems a little brooding! Let's hope its just a passing phase, art is no way to carve out a living!

My chair project

Okay so here is the free chair I recovered. It wasn't quite what I had in mind... the fringe was a necessity I wasn't planning on because I cut fabric to short. I might come up with an embelishment on the top part to tie in the cream more, but I haven't decided. Sometimes I better off if I let things be...

Vacation, all I ever wanted!

Jack loved spending time with Daddy while he was on vacation. (So did mommy!)
He took his first trip to Comerica where he took in a Tiger defeat, but still had lots of fun.

We also went to a Lansing Lugnuts game. He enjoyed having greater autonomy that just isn't possible surrounded by some 40,000 people. Let's just say the Lugnuts weren't a sell out and Jack liked that.

He drew plenty of comments from passerbys as we snapped this picture of him putside Oldsmobile Park.

Jack also enjoyed his first and very own ice cream cone. As you can tell he was a fan.

We also made a return trip to the Kids 'N Stuff museum.

Fireworks

Jack was quite excited to ride in his wagon down to the park and take in the fireworks. He didn't even mind the noise.

Speaking of family pets ...

Announcing Oliver Wheaton.
Oliver is a 3-year-old, totally declawed Tabby cat that we rescued from the humane society. So far he is getting along great in the household, although he hasn't been entirely introduced to the boys though they are dying to meet him!

Fun with the pool

Jack like's his pool. The whole family enjoys having a backyard where we can all hang out, including the family pets.
